Two-shutout performance earns Montoya American Hockey League weekly award

Montoya, 21, went 3-0-0 with a 0.67 goals-against average and two shutouts as the Wolf Pack beat Worcester, Bridgeport and Portland. Montoya posted a .971 save percentage for the week.

A first-round pick of the New York Rangers in 2004, Montoya improved to 6-9-0 on the season, dropping his GAA to 2.48.

Other nominees for the award included Houston right-winger Mattias Weinhandl, San Antonio centre Pascal Rheaume and Manchester goaltender Jason Labarbera.
