U-18 Women's World Championship Expected for June

The previously cancelled U-18 women's World Championship will be played in the United States in June, the IIHF has said.

A host city has not been confirmed, but the Tardif said the IIHF will move the tournament from Sweden, with hopes of them being able to host it again in 2023. Sweden was unable to host the tournament in another location in 2022, meaning another country has to stand up.

The 2021 U-18 World Championship, which serves as the women's World Junior Championship, in a way, was cancelled at all levels with no replacement.

Other U-18 women's events are expected to take place in their original countries in the summer.
