Valerie Camillo Promoted to President and CEO of Spectacor Sports and Entertainment

Valerie Camillo has been promoted to the president and CEO of Spectacor Sports and Entertainment, with her role including overseeing the Philadelphia Flyers' business operations.

On Thursday morning, Comcast Spectacor CEO and chairman Dave Scott announced that Valerie Camillo has been promoted to president and CEO of Spectacor Sports and Entertainment.

The job includes overseeing the Philadelphia Flyers business operations, the Wells Fargo Center, Spectacor Events and Entertainment, the NLL's Philadelphia Wings, and the ECHL's Maine Mariners.

Camillo is well attuned to Comcast Spectacor's various sports and entertainment properties, having previously served as president of business operations for the Flyers and president of the Wells Fargo Center, the Flyers' home arena.

This elevated role will see Camillo continue to be a leader in the business operations of the Flyers while also overseeing the $350 million transformation of the Wells Fargo Center, additionally leading the charge in turning the South Philadelphia Stadium District into one of the United States' premier sports and entertainment districts. In conjunction with those duties, Camillo will also serve as alternate governor of the Flyers.

Under the leadership of Camillo, Wells Fargo Center has undergone a transformation into a brand new facility through one of the most significant arena projects in the country, with the transformation set to come to completion in 2023.

In addition to her efforts with the Wells Fargo Center, Camillo is also responsible for leading the development of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, hoping to bring to life her master plan of turning it into a mixed-use venue that transforms the district into a hotbed for sports and entertainment in Philadelphia.
