SAN JOSE, Calif. - Pavol Demitra, Jason Krog and Jannik Hansen each scored goals to help the Vancouver Canucks stay unbeaten in the pre-season with a 3-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night.

Roberto Luongo stopped all 14 shots he faced in the first two periods. Cory Schneider allowed both goals, but also made 21 saves. Ryan Clowe and Patrick Marleau each scored for the Sharks, who lost in the second game of a back-to-back schedule.

Clowe, Marleau and Joe Thornton played together for the first time, with their line generating both goals. Marleau and Thornton each added an assist.

Defenceman Rob Blake also played for the first time for the Sharks. He was on the ice for the first two Vancouver goals and both of the Sharks' scores. Blake spent the last two years with the Los Angeles Kings and signed with San Jose as a free agent in July.

Rick Rypien saw his first action for the Canucks, although his highlight was drawing a five-minute major for fighting with Sharks right wing Brad Staubitz.

The Canucks, who were swept by the Sharks last season, are back in action in Anaheim on Sunday.
