The National Hockey League tested various potential rule changes, rink modifications and strategic innovations Aug. 18 and 19 at the 2010 NHL Research, Development and Orientation Camp in Toronto.

The camp was comprised of four on-ice sessions over two days at the Toronto Maple Leafs practice facility and featured more than 30 of the top prospects eligible for the 2011 NHL draft. Veteran coaches Ken Hitchcock and Dave King guided the prospects through the new rules.

THN’s Adam Proteau was also there to gauge the reactions of players, coaches and executives to the proposed changes. For more on the camp, check out Adam Proteau’s column in the Sept. 6, 2010 edition of The Hockey News.
