The Hockey News

The Hockey News

When the Kitchener Rangers selected center Radek Faksa 22nd overall in the 2011 CHL import draft they knew they were getting a big player with a nose for the net. And the power forward made quite the impact this season posting 22 goals and 66 points in 62 games. Faksa led all Ontario League rookies in goals scored and earned the Rangers Rookie of the Year award.

His large frame, physical presence and smooth skating have made him a hot commodity heading into the 2012 NHL Entry Draft in Pittsburgh. Ranked 11th overall in our annual Draft Preview, there is no doubt Faksa will hear is named called in the first round and get one step closer to his dream. Danielle Emanuele takes a closer look at the Czech-born prospect.
