Maple Leafs fans have been counting down the days until David Clarkson's Blue and White debut even before the ink was dry on his seven-year contract. Clarkson’s bruising style is sure to ingratiate the 29-year-old with Toronto’s faithful and his willingness to give his time to a worthy cause won’t hurt either. And that’s just what he did Thursday night in Toronto.
Clarkson was one of several NHLers who participated in the second annual Smashfest Charity Ping-Pong Challenge, which supports the Katie Moore Foundation and various brain-injury concussion research foundations.
THN’s Ryan Kennedy had the chance to talk to Clarkson at the event about giving his time to the charity, signing in Toronto and more.
