The second annual Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Cup wrapped up Saturday afternoon with a thrilling shootout victory by Team John Tavares over Team Taylor Hall.

Although his team lost, one of the standouts in the game was Mathew Barzal. Barzal had two goals in the 9-8 loss, but will still face some ribbing from his four Burnaby Winter Club teammates turned opponents, Ty Ronning, Adam Musil, Ty Schultz and goalie Nick McBride.

THN’s Ken Campbell caught up Barzal and a couple of his Burnaby teammates to find out what makes their program so special.
