VIDEO: Gaborik shining on Broadway

When the New York Rangers signed free agent sniper Marian Gaborik they knew they were getting an offensive powerhouse. What they didn’t know was whether or not the speedy winger could stay healthy.

Gaborik has been able to avoid major injury this year and is far and away the team’s offensive leader. His 41 goals are 22 better than his closest teammates and his 83 points put him 27 ahead of Vinny Prospal, who is second in team scoring.

Despite Gaborik’s impressive stats, the Rangers are poised to miss the playoffs this season and some are expecting major alterations in Manhattan. One thing that is unlikely to change, however, is Gaborik leading the Blueshirts attack.
