Since Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke called his name last June in Montreal, Nazem Kadri has faced a tremendous amount scrutiny. But that hasn’t phased the London. Ont., native, who savors the spotlight.

After being one of the last cuts the Leafs made last fall, Kadri returned to the Ontario League and his hometown Knights where he struggled to start the year. But by November, Kadri shook off the malaise and finished the season with 93 points in 56 games. He also got his first taste of NHL action when the Leafs made an emergency call-up in February.

This season Kadri is looking for permanent position under the bright lights of the Air Canada Centre. Adam Proteau takes a close look at the Leafs top prospect.
