VIDEO: One-on-one with Buffalo Sabres prospect Zack Kassian

If you take a look at Zack Kassian’s wrap sheet that includes a 20-game suspension from the Ontario League, it’s easy to see he plays close to the edge. The six-foot-three, 214-pound right winger’s game is certainly physical. Still, Kassian scored 77 points in 56 games for the Windsor Spitfires last year, showing the skill that led the Buffalo Sabres to draft him 13th overall in 2009. The Sabres look set at their forward positions for now, but the Windsor native could force the issue as soon as this year with a good pre-season.

THN’s Ryan Kennedy caught up with the 20-year-old at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase in Toronto to discuss playing for the Windsor Spitfires dynasty, his skill set and more.
