Petr Mrazek had a whirlwind year in 2012. The Czech native was named best goaltender at the World Junior Championship, as well as being named to the tournament's all-star team. He returned to Ottawa where helped lead the 67’s on an impressive playoff run which included a berth in the Eastern Conference final of the Ontario League playoffs.

The Detroit Red Wings prospect started this season with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL, but after three solid games was promoted to the Wings' American League affiliate in Grand Rapids. In his first 25 games, Mrazek had 16 wins and earned a callup to the NHL team on Feb. 3.

THN.com’s Rory Boylen caught up with Mrazek to discuss his adjustment to professional hockey, his relationship with fellow Wings goaltending prospect Thomas McCollum and more.
