In July of 2010, Shea Weber was named the fifth captain in Nashville Predators history and the 6-foot-4, 234-pound defenseman has risen to the challenge.

The sixth-year blueliner has a respectable nine goals and 31 points through 51 games. In addition to his offensive output, the 25-year-old Sicamous, B.C., native has a plus-6 rating while playing more than 25 minutes a game, the most on the team.

THN’s Ken Campbell caught up with Weber, who is scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer, to talk about the season to date, what the Preds need to do to have playoff success and more.
