VIDEO: One-on-one with Patrik Elias of the New Jersey Devils

New Jersey Devils veteran Patrik Elias was just two wins away from his third Stanley Cup last June, but the Los Angeles Kings had other plans. Despite that disappointment, Elias has done his best to ensure the Devils have another shot at a post-season run this season.

The New Jersey veteran has 25 points in 26 games this season and was a catalyst for the team’s quick start. The Devils have struggled of late and will need Elias, and the rest of the veterans, to right the ship if they expect to hold on to a playoff spot.

THN’s Ryan Kennedy spoke with the 36-year-old Czech about playing a condensed season, mentoring the next generation of Devils, and what the team took away from their Stanley Cup final experience last year.
