VIDEO: Simon Gagne and Danny Briere rising to the challenge
Simon Gagne and Danny Briere have faced their fair share of adversity over the past few seasons. Gagne has battled several injuries that kept him out of the lineup in both 2007-08 and 2009-10.
But despite his health woes, including a broken foot these playoffs, the 30-year-old Sainte-Foy, Que., native has been able to make a valuable contribution to the Flyers' historic playoff drive.
Briere has found away to contribute as well. He has nine goals and 18 points in 15 games this post-season, but more important than his totals is the timely fashion in which he is scoring.
But there is still a lot of work to do and Gagne and Briere both recognize the Flyers will need them both playing their best hockey to beat the resilient Montreal Canadiens.
THN’s Ken Campbell takes a closer look at the Flyers dynamic duo.
