Ward, Hurricanes seeking fourth straight win

New Jersey (23-12-3) at Carolina (20-15-5), 7:00 pm EST

RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Cam Ward and the Carolina

Hurricanes will seek their fourth consecutive victory when they

face the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.

Since returning from a groin injury that sidelined him for five

games, Ward has played well in net and the Hurricanes have

benefited.

The 24-year-old has gone 7-2-1 over that stretch, allowing more

than two goals just twice. Ward has posted a 15-9-3 record with

a 2.46 goals-against average and .914 save percentage on the

season.

He made 17 saves and Justin Williams and defenseman Joni

Pitkanen both had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 3-2 triumph

over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Devils are also starting to heat up, as they are looking for

their third straight win.

Brian Rolston scored 1:43 into overtime, lifting New Jersey to a

4-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday. Dainius Zubrus

tallied twice and Jamie Langenbrunner netted the tying goal late

in the third period.
