It’s a physical affair tonight in St. Louis between the Blues and Canadiens.

Tempers flared late in the second period following Alexei Emelin’s huge hit on Blues’ forward Paul Stastny.

With the game tied 2-2, the Habs blue liner caught Stastny with an open-ice hit in front of the Blues' bench.

Stastny remained in the game following the hit.

Alex Pietrangelo picked up the lone penalty – a minor for roughing – following the scrum.

Both teams combined for 38 penalties in the second period alone.

Tonight is the second and final meeting of the regular season between the two clubs. Montreal won the other meeting 3-0 in October.
