Watch: Bitetto hits head on ice during fight with Tootoo

It was just the third career fight for the Preds defenceman, who left the game and did not return.

Anthony Bitetto left Friday night’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks after suffering a head laceration.

The Nashville Predators defenceman was fighting Chicago Blackhawks tough guy Jordin Tootoo when he fell to the ice and hit his head. The 26-year-old, who was in just his third career NHL fight, required assistance leaving the ice.

Both Bitetto and Tootoo received fight minute fighting majors.
