Earlier in the off-season, photos surfaced of Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon working the drive-thru at Tim Hortons, the famed Canadian coffee shop, in their home province of Nova Scotia. Now, we have the footage.

In a brand new series of advertisements for Tim Hortons, Crosby and MacKinnon take orders, serve up coffee and try and stifle their laughter when a customer mispronounces jalapeno. Suffice to say, they’re probably going to be sticking to sports.

It’s great that the video kicks off first with Crosby not knowing his headset was on and then by failing to be able to open up the actual drive-thru window. It’s as if it’s almost a sign of what’s to come.

The part of the spot that’s the best, though, is Crosby and MacKinnon’s reactions to the mispronunciation of jalapeno. From MacKinnon whispering jalapeno and covering his microphone to Crosby nearly keeling over with laughter, the reactions of the two hockey superstars are worth watching over a couple times. They just can’t hold it together.

By the end of the video, you’d expect Crosby and MacKinnon to maybe have the whole drive-thru thing figured out. However, it ends not with a success but a customer pulling up for her coffee and Crosby attempting to hand her off a tea. Don’t quit your day job, Sidney.

This minute-long advertisement is the main spot in an eight-part series ( that follows Crosby and MacKinnon through their misadventures.
