Whaaat: Guelph scores three shorthanded goals in less than five minutes

The Ontario League's Storm lived up to their name on Thursday night, striking a late death-blow to Peterborough with an onslaught of tallies while Guelph was down a man.

The Peterborough Petes were down 6-4 in the third period last night when the Guelph Storm put them on the power play. Time for a comeback? Err…no. Time for a string of three straight shorthanded goals.

Dallas Stars prospect Jason Dickinson tallied two of the shorties for Guelph, while Tyler Hill added the third, pushing the Storm to a 9-4 victory in Peterborough. The three final goals – all scored while down a man – came in less than five minutes. Check out the highlights of the wild game below, with the shortie parade beginning at the 2:18 mark:

Dickinson finished the evening with a hat trick and five points, while Swiss import Pius Suter notched a hat trick and four points.
