Wheat Kings defenceman Travis Hamonic named WHL player of the week

CALGARY - Brandon Wheat Kings defenceman Travis Hamonic was named Western Hockey League player of the week Monday.

Hamonic recorded four points (two goals, two assists) and a plus-3 rating in three games last week.

Drew Owsley of the Tri-City Americans was named WHL goaltender of the week. He had a 1-1-0-0 record last week with one shutout, a 2.01 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.
