White scores winning goal in third as Bulldogs defeat Griffins 2-1

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Ryan White scored the game-winning goal in the third period as the Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Grand Rapids Griffins 2-1 on Friday night in the American Hockey League.

The Griffins opened the game’s scoring at 15:03 of the first frame as Adam Keefe flipped the puck over Curtis Sanford's right shoulder and into the top of the net.

The Bulldogs tied the game at 18:21 of the second when Ben Maxwell slapped a pass to the left side of the net to Ryan Russell, who tapped the puck past Grand Rapids starting goaltender Jordan Pearce.

White scored at 14:35 when J.T. Wyman fed him the puck and rifled a shot that beat Pearce over the left shoulder.

Sanford made 24 saves to lead Hamilton (28-15-5) to victory, while Pearce made 33 saves on 35 shots for Grand Rapids (22-22-6).
