ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Wild have signed popular winger Cal Clutterbuck to a three-year extension.

The 22-year-old Clutterbuck would have become a restricted free agent at the end of the season.

He quickly became a fan favourite last season, when he set the NHL's single-season hits mark with 356. He leads the league again this season.

Clutterbuck also has a career-high 12 goals in 54 games this year, and has tied his career high with 18 points.
