Wild still searching for offensive touch

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Wild hope a return

to their home ice can end their offensive woes.

Goals have not been easy to come by lately for the Wild, who

will host the Calgary Flames on Wednesday in hopes of snapping a

five-game losing streak.

Minnesota, which is coming off a disappointing four-game road

trip, has managed just five goals over its current slide.

Eric Belanger scored a goal and set up another Sunday as the

Wild produced their first multi-goal effort in 11 days, but

still suffered a 4-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks.

Minnesota hasn't produced a point in two weeks, crippling its

status in the standings. The Wild are currently tied for ninth

with the Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Avalanche in the Western


Captain Jarome Iginla scored two goals and set up two others as

the Flames snapped a three-game losing streak with a 6-3 triumph

over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

Matthew Lombardi had a goal and two assists and Craig Conroy and

defenseman Cory Sarich each had a pair of assists for the

Flames, who have posted a 3-1-2 record over their last six
