Wild's Pierre-Marc Bouchard suspended 2 games for high sticking Calvert in face

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Minnesota Wild forward Pierre-Marc Bouchard was suspended for two games without pay by the NHL on Sunday for high sticking Columbus' Matt Calvert in the face Saturday night.

The suspension will cost Bouchard US$44,108.

With 1:06 left in the second period in Minnesota's 4-2 victory, Bouchard hit Calvert in the face with his stick, injuring the Columbus player in the process. Bouchard was assessed a double-minor for high sticking.
