With just one week before the NHL season starts, the Anaheim Ducks have re-signed defenseman Jamie Drysdsale.

Earlier today in my 4 questions article I asked when the Anaheim Ducks would re-sign Jamie Drydsale. Well, it took about five hours for that question to be answered.
The Ducks announced that Dysdale had signed a three-year contract worth $2.3 million annually.
It's a similar bridge-type deal that Pat Verbeek signed Trevor Zegras to a few days ago, and like the Zegras deal, this is a good one for both parties.
Drysdale will have a chance to significantly increase his value over the next three years, setting himself up for a potentially massive contract at 24 years old.
For the Ducks, this deal gives them more flexibility moving forward and gives them a chance to see Drysdale in his prime before committing significant term and money to the player.
Verbeek has caught some flak over the summer for the contract stalemate with two young players. But, in the end, he's done great here to get both players signed to contracts that work for both player and team.
Drysdale is expected to play top-pairing minutes this season, and if he takes a step forward in his development, could provide some of the best value for money in the league.
