Can the Ducks make a push toward the postseason next year?

We are getting closer and closer to the start of the new NHL season, and excitement is in the air. For the Anaheim Ducks, they will be looking to get out of the basement of the league’s standings, and finally start their build back toward contention. With new head coach Greg Cronin in the building and some really exciting prospects, the Ducks could find themselves competing for a playoff spot. In fact, that is the hope of Cronin, as he takes over his first leading role in the NHL. He wants to shoot for the stars in his first season, and the Ducks may have the team to do it. They likely won’t compete for the Stanley Cup, but a playoff spot isn’t out of the realm of possibility. After all, weirder things have happened over the course of hockey history. Anaheim is going to be one of the most interesting teams to watch next season.

In other Ducks-related news, star Trevor Zegras remains unsigned as training camp quickly approaches. The team is being linked with some star-level players to upgrade the roster, and the Ducks pipeline came in ranked at the top of the league.
