    This Bruins defenseman left the club's game injured against the Rangers.

    The Boston Bruins have announced that defenseman Michael Callahan will not return to the club's Feb. 1 contest against the New York Rangers due to an upper-body injury. 

    Callahan left the game during the second period in clear pain after taking a puck to the face.

    Callahan, 25, had just 5:49 of ice time against the Blueshirts before suffering his injury.  The Franklin, Massachusetts native has appeared in his first five NHL games this season with the Bruins.
