    This former Bruins forward is on the move.

    Former Boston Bruins forward Brett Ritchie has signed a one-year contract with the Schwenninger Wild Wings of the German DEL.

    Ritchie, 31, had been playing with HK Nitra of the Slovak Extraliga but was released from the club. Now, he is joining the Wild Wings and is expected to be a key part of their offense moving forward.

    Ritchie played well during his time with HK Nitra, posting 12 goals, 24 points, and a plus-7 rating in 28 contests this season.

    Ritchie spent the 2019-20 season with the Bruins. In 27 games with the Original Six club, he had two goals, six points, 89 hits, and a minus-3 rating. He also had two goals and four points in 12 games with their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins.

    In 391 career NHL games split between the Dallas Stars, Bruins, Calgary Flames, and Arizona Coyotes, Ritchie had 50 goals, 85 points, and 911 hits.
