This former Bruins defenseman is done for the season.
The Nashville Predators have announced that defenseman Jeremy Lauzon will be out for the next four to six months due to a lower-body injury. With this, the former Boston Bruins blueliner's 2024-25 season is over.
Due to his injury, Lauzon, 27, has not played since the Predators' Dec. 31 contest against the Minnesota Wild.
In 28 games this season with the Predators, Lauzon had one assist, 34 blocks, 127 hits, and a minus-4 rating. This is after he set new career highs with six goals and 14 points in 79 games with Nashville in 2023-24. He also set a new NHL record with 386 hits.
The Bruins selected Lauzon with the 52nd overall pick of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. From there, the 6-foot-3 defenseman played his first three NHL seasons with the Bruins. In 76 games with Boston, he had three goals, 11 points, 71 penalty minutes, and 145 hits. His time with the Bruins ended when he was taken by the Seattle Kraken at the 2021 NHL expansion draft.
