It was a family affair Wednesday night as not only did the Carolina Hurricanes punch their ticket and clinch a berth in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, but so too did the Chicago Wolves.

The Wolves pulled off a 4-3 victory over the Grand Rapid Griffins Wednesday to reach the clinching threshold thanks to yet another Bradly Nadeau game-winning goal.

Nadeau has been a key piece of the Wolves journey back to the postseason, having turned up his game since returning from the World Juniors.

The sniper has 28 goals on the season— which paces all AHL rookies — and his 50 points are second amongst all Wolves skaters.

It hasn't just been Nadeau though down in Chicago as Ryan Suzuki (51 points), Justin Robidas (48 points) and Scott Morrow (39 points when he was still in the AHL) all had big offensive years too.

The team has found ways to win after a slow start to the year and they have a good balance of skill and grind coupled with steady goaltending supplied by Spencer Martin.

The Wolves were last in the playoffs in 2022, when the team captured its third Calder Cup. Eventual Hurricane regulars Pyotr Kochetkov, Jalen Chatfield, Jack Drury and Stefan Noesen were all on that team too.
