
The NHL has released another quarter-century team, this time it is the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Columbus Blue Jackets have two players that have been named to the Flyers quarter-century team.
Both Ivan Provorov and Jakub Voracek were named to the second time. Which is a great honour for both players considering the amount of great players that have suited up for the Flyers over the last 25 years.
Voracek appeared in 727 games, playing over 10 seasons with the Flyers (2011-2021). He scored 177 goals and 427 assists for 604 points. His 427 assists ranks him fifth all-time in franchise history for assists.
Provorov was drafted seventh overall in by the Flyers in 2015. He played in 403 consecutive NHL games to start his career. That 403-game streak ranks second in Flyers franchise history, behind Rod Brind’Amour’s 484 games. Provorov scored 65 goals and 152 assists for 217 points over his 532 games in seven seasons (2016-23).
Brian Boucher was also named as the second team goalie. He played three games with the Blue Jackets in 2006-07. He had a record of 1-1-0, in those three games.
