The first-ever game at Nationwide Arena (kind of) between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Utah Hockey Club (hopefully soon-to-be Outlaws) will happen tonight.
The Jackets beat The Hockey Club in overtime last Friday night in spectacular fashion. Zach Werenski and Cole Sillinger played hot potato after a Werenski steal that would lead to the game-winner.
But that feels like an eternity ago. Since then, the Jackets have lost Werenski, Marchenko, and Fabbro to injury. Zach might be back against Utah though. The Jackets sent Dylan Gambrell back to Cleveland after he was sent up on emergency recall. The speculation is that someone, preferably Werenski could be back tonight. Columbus can ill afford to miss him in any more games if they want to continue the pace in the Eastern Conference Wild Card race because it's tight.
Columbus has played just one game at home since January 17th, so the Blue Jackets will look to get home in front of their amazing fans. The Jackets are tied for second for most home goals with 101 and are scoring 4.04 goals per game inside NWA. The 4.04 goals they're scoring per game is #1 in the NHL.
The Jackets will be looking to score a bunch of goals on Utah and send them packing back to Salt Lake City.
