The Columbus Blue Jackets are in Calgary to take on the Flames in what looks to be an emotional night in Alberta.
There will be a hockey game played at Scotiabank Saddledome on Tuesday night, but this game will be about honoring the lives of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.
The Flames are hosting the Blue Jackets and the Gaudreau Family which will include Johnny's wife Meredith, their two kids, his mom and dad, and sisters.
There will be a video tribute as well as a ceremonial puck drop with Mikael Backlund and CBJ forward Sean Monahan, as well as the Gaudreau Family.
After the tragedy, Flames fans created a giant memorial outside of the Saddledome. Fans left all sorts of items that the Flames kept and turned into charitable donations.
Per the Flames Foundation:
The Blue Jackets have points in six straight games. Conversely, the Flames have lost four straight. The Blue Jackets beat the Flames 5-2 last Friday at Nationwide Arena.
