Top CBJ Prospect Has Injury Concerns

Kevin Dube of the le Journal de Quebec has reported that Blue Jackets Star Prospect Jordan Dumais is returning to Columbus this weekend to have his hips evaluated after aggravating an injury that he's apparently had for a couple of years now. It's said he re-aggravated it at the World Junior Selection Camp.

Dumais didn't impress during the recent World Juniors as many thought he would, getting only two points through five games. Could this have been the reason for his lack of production?

The report goes on to say that Dumais will return to Columbus on Sunday to be evaluated by the Blue Jackets.

For Halifax this season, Dumais has played in 21 games and has collected 47 points. He set the Halifax record for most points in a career this season as well.

Many people regard Dumais as a top prospect and expect him to challenge for a Columbus roster spot come September of 2024. Others think he should start in Cleveland and force the Jackets to have no choice but to call him up, similar to CBJ stars Kirill Marchenko and Dmitri Voronkov. Either way, Dumais has a bright future with the franchise.
