Dmitri Voronkov(21), Justin Danforth(9), Mathieu Olivier(18), Sean Monahan(18-PPG), and Adam Fantilli(25) supplied the offense for Columbus, and Elvis Merzļikins was excellent on Tuesday night, stopping 33 of 35 Ottawa shots in a 5-2 win.
The Jackets played a great game against Ottawa on Tuesday night and got some great play from Merzļikins to keep the Blue Jackets playoff hopes alive. It's a very slim hope, but it's alive nonetheless.
Adam Fantilli - "Our goal is to win out the rest of the season, obviously, and try to put ourselves in the best position possible to maybe have a chance to get in the playoffs. That’s still the goal."
Justin Danforth - "We didn't come this far to quit."
Dean Evason - "We're not mathematically eliminated, so we’re going to play freakin' hard every night."
The CBJ are now 35-33-9 with 79 points. They're now 23-10-5 at home, which is 4th best in the Eastern Conference.
