The medal rounds start today at the 2025 IIHF World Championship, and the Columbus Blue Jackets have a handful of players bidding to win gold.

Let’s take a look at which teams each Blue Jackets player is on and what time the games start.

The first game is between Team USA and Team Finland at 10:20 a.m.

Zach Werenski spoke yesterday about the chance to win gold with Team USA. He said, “I love playing for USA Hockey… You don’t do it for anything else besides the jersey you’re wearing.”

Werenski will take on Blue Jackets prospect Mikael Pyyhtiä in a winner-goes-home quarterfinal matchup.

The second game of the day features no Blue Jackets players. Austria will play Switzerland, and puck drop is also set for 10:20 a.m.

The third matchup of the day is between two powerhouses, as Czechia and Sweden face off at 2:20 p.m.

Lastly, the only other matchup that features Blue Jackets players is Canada vs. Denmark at 2:20 p.m. Canada comes in as the heavy favourite in the game. Representing Canada will be Dean Evason, Steve McCarthy, Adam Fantilli, and Kent Johnson — all hoping to make quick work of Denmark and advance to the semifinals.

Good luck to all the Blue Jackets players competing in the medal rounds today.
