We've entered the second week of the 2025 IIHF World Championship, so it's time to check in and see how the Columbus Blue Jackets players have been doing so far.

Starting with Team Canada, they’ve got Adam Fantilli and Kent Johnson on the roster, along with Dean Evason and Steve McCarthy behind the bench. Fantilli has struggled in the tournament — through four games, he has yet to record a point. He started out on a line with Sidney Crosby and Macklin Celebrini but has since been moved down the lineup. Johnson, on the other hand, has played well. In four games, he’s scored two goals and added an assist, while posting a plus-three rating.

As for the coaching staff, they've helped guide Canada to a perfect 4-0-0-0 record for 12 points. The team has scored 12 goals and allowed just two through their first four games.

Next up is Zach Werenski and Team USA. After being added to the roster later in the tournament, Werenski has suited up for two games and has recorded an assist in each of them.

Lastly, there’s Samuel Knazko and Slovakia. Things haven’t gone quite as well for them as they’d hoped, but they still hold a 2-0-1-1 record for seven points — good enough for a medal round spot for now. However, Latvia and Austria are close behind with six and five points, respectively. In three games, Knazko has recorded an assist and four shots on goal.

There are only a few round-robin games left before the medal round begins. The Blue Jackets players have held their own so far, and the hope is they continue to build on that through the final week of the tournament.
