It took 19 minutes and 5 seconds into the second OT, but the Cleveland Monsters defeated the Toronto Marlies and will move on to play the Pascal Vincent-led Laval Rocket in the next round of the AHL Playoffs.
The story of this win, though, was Jet Greaves. Because, of course, it was. The youngster just can't seem to keep his name out of the news.
With the win against the Marlies, Greaves is now 16-0-0 in his career versus Toronto. That perfect record includes the regular season and playoffs. He made 39 saves for the win on Saturday.
Being perfect against any team is a feat in itself, so congrats to Jet Greaves for being an absolute menace to the Toronto Marlies.
Greaves is the Cleveland Monsters' all-time leader in regulation wins with 82, and sits 13th in SV%. He's first all-time in playoff wins with 10, and 2nd in playoff SV% at .924.
It's safe to say that Jet Greaves is the best Monsters goaltender of all time.
