DALLAS - Tyler Seguin found himself in a rather interesting predicament on Tuesday when the Stars were in Las Vegas to play the Golden Knights.
A security guard at T-Mobile Arena didn't recognize the veteran forward, so he needed a little help getting into the rink since he forgot to bring along his NHL player identification.
Enter head coach Peter DeBoer, who previously helmed the Golden Knights and was a recognizable figure to arena staff.
"It was kind of comical that they called me over to vouch that this was actually Tyler Seguin, he actually was a player in the NHL, and on our team," said DeBoer, following Saturday's morning skate. "It was one of those moments that I’ll remind him of as we go forward here."
NHL.com Independent Correspondent Taylor Baird spoke with Seguin about the experience.
