Jake Oettinger will get some rest as Wedgewood makes his second start of the season.

DALLAS - Goaltender Scott Wedgewood gets the start against the Maple Leafs at the American Airlines Center tonight.

It will mark Wedgewood's second start of the season after backstopping the Stars to a 5-4 overtime victory over the Flyers on October 21 in Dallas.

The Brampton, ON native made 36 saves on 40 shots between the pipes.

For his part, goaltender Jake Oettinger didn't participate in the morning skate.

He was given a maintenance day, according to head coach Pete DeBoer.

"Jake’s played four of the first five. We’ve talked all year about wanting to get Wedgie in, making sure he’s playing, and that we’re getting the right amount of rest for Jake, too. It’s been a priority since day one," said DeBoer. "I think both goalies are playing at a really elite level for us."

Dallas is seeking its fourth consecutive victory, while Toronto is riding a two-game winning streak.
