Longtime Detroit Red Wings forward and NHL Hall of Famer Sergei Fedorov, who was an integral part of three Stanley Cup wins with Detroit, celebrates his 56th birthday today.
During the prime of his career, it can reasonably be argued that no NHL player was as exciting or flashy as Fedorov.

During his time with the Red Wings, Fedorov scored exactly 400 goals, won the Hart Trophy as the NHL's Most Valuable Player in 1994, and the Selke Trophy both in 1994 and 1996 as the NHL's best defensive forward.

Fedorov will be honored by the Red Wings with the official retirement of his iconic No. 91 jersey on Jan. 12 at Little Caesars Arena.
