The Red Wings signed Ann Arbor, Michigan native Andrew Copp to a five-year contract in the 2022 offseason.

Like several of his then-current and future Red Wings teammates, Copp also played collegiate hockey locally at the University of Michigan, as did Dylan Larkin and J.T. Compher.

Copp's contract is now over halfway completed, as he has two years remaining before he's eligible for unrestricted free agency once again in the 2027 offseason.

Will Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman offer Copp a new contract, or will it be time for a younger prospect like Nate Danielson or Amadeus Lombardi to take over his role?
