Following their dud of a Home Opener on Oct. 9 against the Montreal Canadiens, the Detroit Red Wings have since rattled off five consecutive victories, the majority of which were against Atlantic Division opponents.

Their most recent win, a 4-2 triumph over the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday evening, moved them into a first-place tie with the Carolina Hurricanes for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, and they've since overtaken the Canadiens for the top spot in the Atlantic Division.

Not only that, but their last three wins have come without either Lucas Raymond or Patrick Kane. Raymond missed two games before returning on Sunday, while Kane was unable to play in that game.

Given their tremendous turnaround, are the Red Wings on track for a postseason spot for what would be the very first Stanley Cup Playoff action at Little Caesars Arena?
