Jake Sanderson took a major step forward, upping his point total from 38 to 57 points. Much of that increase came on the man advantage, as he went from 14 to 30 points on the power play. The fifth overall pick in 2020, Sanderson’s next step will come once he improves 5x5, where he was outscored by Thomas Chabot.

Sanderson is a possibility, though a bit of a longshot, for the US Olympic team.  If he shows improvement at even-strength and the power play efficiency ticks up slightly, Sanderson could break the 60-point barrier with 70 points a possibility in the future.

A point-per-game could be out of reach, but 65-70 points would put Sanderson in the upper echelon of blueliners.
