Auston Matthews is the big name North of the Border but Tavares may be the more important forward. Tavares takes pressure away from Matthews centering the second line while providing secondary offense. He has notched between 65 and 80 points each of the past four seasons.

Tavares is off to a good start, posting five goals and eight assists in 10 games. He sits just one tally shy of 500 for his illustrious career while also adding 628 helpers. Tavares likely will finish between 65 and 80 points again, which should fall behind Matthews and Matthew Knies, but his all-around play may make him the most important forward.
