Nine games on slate, David Perron starting to get hot for the Senators

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies can be used in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.
David Perron, LW/RW, OTT @ TB (3% rostered)
In his prime, Perron was a category stat stuffer, contributing almost across the board. Signed by Ottawa this offseason, Perron went scoreless in his first 12 games while missing most of the first four months of the season due to back trouble and an off-ice personal issue. He has a goal and a pair of assists his last three games as he settles back in to game action.
Pavel Dorofeyev, LW/RW, LV @ NJ (45% rostered)
Dorofeyev continues to produce for the Knights. His scoring streak ended at three Tuesday but he also had six goals and nine assists in his prior 15 games. Dorofeyev, a third round pick, 79 overall in 2019, is up to 22 tallies, which leads the team, and 13 helpers in 54 contests, building off the success he had last season. He has become a fixture on Vegas' second line and power play unit.
Aliaksei Protas, C/LW, WSH @ PHI (39% rostered)
Protas, having a breakout campaign, has shown no signs of slowing. After a mild cold spell, he has heated up again with four goals and nine points over his last eight games. Protas is up to 22 markers and 23 apples in 53 games with his point almost exceeding what he posted in parts of three seasons in the Nation's Capital. If you have Protas in your league, enjoy the production, but be aware his 23.4 percent shooting percentage may regress slightly.
Barrett Hayton, C, UTAH @ CLM (11% rostered)
Whichever nickname Utah selects, Hayton looks like he will be a fixture in that lineup. The surprising fifth overall pick in 2018, Hayton has certainly not had a smooth ride since being taken. But he has started to find his game recently, as the 24-year-old center has 17 assists, 29 points and 93 shots on net across 53 games. In addition, with Logan Cooley sidelined, Hayton is seeing first unit power play time.
James van Riemsdyk, LW, CLM @ UTAH (1% rostered)
JvR has assists in three straight contests and has dented the scoresheet in six of his last seven games, tallying a pair of goals and five helpers. This "hot streak" has upped van Riemsdyk's season totals to 10 and 14 in 47 games. Van Riemsdyk's, playing left wing on the second line, has a shot at matching the 38 points he posted in 71 games last season in Boston.
Marcus Johansson, LW, MIN vs. CAR (1% rostered)
Johansson, who missed eight consecutive games due to a concussion, returned to action Tuesday. His production has declined each of the last two seasons, as he sits with just 16 points in 45 contests. Johansson will be asked to produce a bit for the Wild with Kirill Kaprizov still sidelined and Ryan Hartman suspended. He is skating on the second line, but could swap spots with Liam Ohgren.
Anton Lundell, C/LW, FLA @ STL (37% rostered)
Lundell is on a bit of a run, potting three goals while adding four assists in his last 10 games played. That uptick in production has moved his season marks to 12 markers and 23 helpers in 54 contests, putting him in clear striking distance of the career-high 44 points he notched as a rookie in 2021-22. Lundell has not taken the step forward expected of him after that season but has become a solid third-line pivot in Florida.

Jonathan Drouin, C/LW, COL @ CGY (34% rostered)
Drouin has registered back-to-back multi-point outings, supplying two goals and three helpers in those contests. Skating on the second line with Jusso Parsinnen, while Valeri Nichushkin is out injured, and Casey Mittelstadt, Drouin is up to six goals, 16 helpers and a plus-5 rating across 21 appearances in 2024-25. He posted a career-high 56 points last season and has been on fire since returning from the upper body injury that sidelined him over a month.
Yegor Sharangovich, LW/RW, CGY vs. COL (14% rostered)
Yegor finally is showing the scoring touch so evident last season. He has five tallies and five assists over his last 12 outings, upping his season totals to 11 and 10 in 46 contests. Those numbers are a far cry from 31 tallies and 28 helpers he notched last season, his first campaign as a Flame. But he seems to regained his prior form and should skate on the second line before too long.
Shane Wright, C, SEA vs. TOR (5% rostered)
Wright extended his point streak to six games with a pair of tallies Tuesday. He's scored three times and added four assists during that span as he continues to take a major step forward. Wright, who "slid" to fourth overall in the 2022 draft, is up to 11 goals, 29 points, 52 shots on net, 41 hits, 38 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 52 appearances. He is still stapled to the third line due to the presence of Matty Beniers and Chandler Stephenson in front of him.
Will Smith, C, SJ vs. VAN (7% rostered)
The trade of Mikael Granlund moves Smith up in the pecking order and back to center, his natural position. His six-game point streak ended Tuesday; during that span, Smith notched a pair of goals and five assists. Smith, who excelled at BC and has shown growth throughout the season, is up to 22 points, 63 shots on net and a minus-10 rating over 47 appearances. He and Macklin Celebrini look to be a formidable 1-2 punch down the middle in the future for San Jose.
