The LA Kings officially say goodbye to traded players

The LA Kings social team officially goodbye to the teams recently traded players through a Twitter post early Tuesday afternoon.
The tweets came just hours after it was announced that goalie Cal Petersen and defenseman Sean Walker were traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in a three team trade.
Petersen spent most of the 2022-23 season in the AHL but was able to play in 10 games for the Kings in which he post a 3.75 GAA and a .868 save percentage.
Walker played in 70 games with he Kings where he scored 3 goals and 10 assists. Walker only played in 2 of the Kings playoff games against the Edmonton Oilers where he did not record a single point.
The Kings also traded away prospect Helge Grans and a 2024 second-round draft pick to the Flyers.
In the AHL last year, Grans recorded nine points in 54 games with the Ontario Reign.
As a part of the trade, the Kings did receive defenseman Kevin Connauton and forward Hayden Hodgsen from the Flyers.
Connauton spent his last season with the Flyer's AHL affiliate, where he played 63 games and put up 15 points.
Hodgsen has played seven games in his NHL career and has scored one goal and two assists.
As a part of the three team trade, the Flyers sent defenseman Ivan Provorov to the Columbus Blue Jackets. With that being said, the Kings are retaining 30% of Provorov's contract from the Flyers.
While the guys the Kings traded are not going to make an immediate impact in the NHL, they could end up being good depth pieces that the team needs as the season goes on.
