It seems that the Los Angeles Kings' fan base is not overly confident in their team's front office.

In a recent survey conducted by The Athletic (subscription required), which was voted on by fans, the Los Angeles Kings came in at 31st out of 32 for front-office confidence. This year's poll garnered nearly 10,000 responses from fans evaluating their favourite teams.

In addition to their ranking, each franchise also received a grade. The Kings were awarded an overall grade of a D-.

The aspect that particularly angers the fans is the "Trading" category, which received a D+ from the public and a D- from the fans. An explanation was provided for each team's ranking and overall grade.

"Blake has made several mistakes that have hindered the team's ability to build a strong roster. The big deal with Petersen backfired, and the PLD signing was a complete disaster. They managed to sell that contract, but it was a tough pill to swallow."

The Kings' fans are grappling with the mishandling of the Pierre-Luc Dubois situation and the actions of Cal Petersen.

At the beginning of Rob Blake's tenure in Los Angeles, there was a lot of hope, with big moves being made to acquire players like Kevin Fiala. However, the team has struggled to translate these acquisitions into success on the ice.

Unfortunately, despite the front office's best efforts to support the team, if the team fails to perform on the ice, that's what fans notice the most, and that's what the Kings are experiencing.

Last season, they were ranked 13th, placing them in the top half of the league. This season, the same front office has plummeted to 31st, second last in the NHL.
