Who plays won't give us any definitive answer to who starts the season on the third pair. But it will be interesting to see which defensemen gets back-to-back games here.

In their penultimate preseason game, the Los Angeles Kings head to Salt Lake City, Utah to take on the San Jose Sharks.

The main focus of this game for most fans will be watching Alex Laferierre on a line with Pierre-Luc Dubois and Kevin Fiala after Arthur Kaliyev's suspension.

While it's unlikely Laferriere gets a look on this line once the regular season starts for cap reasons, it will be interesting to see how Laferriere does with elite linemates.

The other interesting thing to keep an eye on is the third pair. After not playing Tuesday, Brandt Clarke and Tobias Bjornfot would have both been hoping to play tonight.

However, it looks like only one of them will feature. Clarke was paired with Andreas Englund during morning skate and Bjornfot was with Jordan Spence.

There was no indication of which pair would play Thursday night, and with no media availability with Todd McLellan after morning skate there was no way to get an answer.
